STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Prepped for Recruitment

Congratulations my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos, we did it! The semester is over and if you are anything like me, you are cuddled up on the couch with a huge cup of hot chocolate, binge watching reruns of Gilmore Girls. However, in all of this holiday excitement I can’t seem to forget that at the beginning of next semester there will be sorority recruitment. For those of you that also have recruitment coming up—but have no idea what to wear to impress your future sisters—have no fear, I found the perfect look for you.

During recruitment there are different rounds: meeting the chapters, philanthropy, sisterhood and preference. Sisterhood and preference rounds tend to be on the dressier end of the fashion spectrum, but as I was walking down High Street I couldn’t help but be inspired for the first two rounds by this beautiful Fashionista! She paired some comfy fleece-lined leggings with a cream cable knit sweater and navy blue vest. To top off the look she added a baby pink scarf and a monogramed necklace, accessories perfect for getting the chapters to see her individual personality and style. Your feet may get tired after all of that walking around, so these tan boots are the perfect practical footwear for a long day’s work.

It’s so important to show your personal style during recruitment, so take risks with your fashion choices and be the you others will love to have as part of their sisterhood. Good luck with your recruitment, and enjoy your start to the new year Fashionistas/os. Now go back to your binge watching!
