We’re deep into fall by now and I know I speak for everyone when I say that plaid is the universal uniform of fall. It doesn’t matter how you wear your plaid, but as long as your closest is chock full of it, you’re doing it right this season.

From flannels to scarves to ponchos, there are SO many ways to sport this look. Just look at this Fashionista and her rad plaid style. She dressed up her green and gray flannel with a sleek shearling vest that helps with the cold while bringing some light to the outfit. She added a trendy pair of patched gray denim and her look was complete. Rocking plaid through flannels is my personal favorite fall plaid trend and this Fashionista does it justice. In my opinion, it’s the best plaid staple for any closet as it is one of the most comfortable yet stylish and versatile pieces you can own. You can roll out of bed and throw your flannel on or channel this Fashionista’s look and pair dressier pieces with it. It’s every lazy girl’s dream!

Overall, whether you’re more of a flannel person or you’re looking for something daring like plaid pants, this trend is the way to go, at least for the duration of fall. No joke, I incorporate it into almost every one of my outfits. In my opinion, fall isn’t fall if plaid isn’t involved.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When I want to dress up a flannel or a similar casual button-down, I typically add some shiny or exciting accessories. A chunky gold chain is my personal favorite. The color is low-key but it adds something extra.”
