Each and every person has their own individual style, but that does not mean you should avoid trying out new trends that you aren’t used to. It always feels a little weird to step out of your fashion comfort zone, but you may end up loving the way it looks on you…so as a wise person once said, “don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”
This week I am going to share with you a trend that is near and dear to my heart: overalls. I mean, come on, you don’t have to worry about pulling up your pants all day! When I bought my first pair of overalls, I wasn’t exactly sure what I should wear with them. I also worried that I looked a little more like a farmer than a Fashionista heading out for a day of shopping. But once you find a pair that fits your style well, you will fall in love. Luckily, overalls come in all different colors, materials and styles, so it is easy to find a pair that matches with your own personal wardrobe. I found a white eyelet Free People pair that fit well with my romantic, bohemian style. Overalls are something that you will normally wear casually; unless, you find a funky printed pair or a black pair that you can really dress up.
The Fashionista pictured above wears her overalls in a casual but chic way. She shows us how she rocks her overalls in her own way with a floral crop top and black leather booties. She also accessorized with some fun skull earrings and a matte pink lipstick. I love how she put a darker, grunge twist on her outfit by utilizing the color black. Her look is a perfect example of how to take a classic pair of overalls that have been worn for hundreds of years and turn them into a trendy, modern pair.
