STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Maximize Your Style

April 22nd, 2015 at 2:00am

With spring weather finally here and finals around the corner, the last thing a Fashionista should worry about is what to wear in the transition of seasons. One of the best transitional pieces to bring into spring is a maxi dress. Depending on the sleeve and what type of outerwear you decide to wear, you can stay warm on chilly mornings or cool during hot days.

When spring weather arrives, the Fashionistas come out of hibernation and bring out their cutest outfits. Maxi dresses and skirts have become a favorite on campus. They are easy to throw on while still looking put together and polished. Maxi dresses are very versatile and can be worn to many different types of events. I spotted this Fashionista walking to class wearing this adorable maxi dress.

This maxi dress is unique because it looks like it could be two separate pieces. The striped part of the dress is very formfitting and accents this Fashionista’s body well. The cutouts add a little more interest to the dress and make it even more unique. This dress can be toned down to wear to class or worn with heels or wedges for a night out. The bottom contrasts the stripes on the top perfectly.

To finish off the look, this Fashionista wore her black Tory Burch sandals. These sandals are a Tory Burch fan favorite and are seen on a lot of students around campus. They are more polished than flip flops but are just as comfortable.

This Fashionista is ready to bring on the spring weather while keeping up with the latest trends on campus.
