Who doesn’t love their hoodies and baggy sweaters? They provide both comfort and style for lazy days out of town, but now we are obsessing over a new style. The famous cardigan is becoming longer and larger. This cardigan is shaming hoodies and baggy sweaters everywhere. This trend is styling all over and is bringing a sophisticated edge to all our favorite casual styles, while still carrying the same comfort.

With its long sleeves and flowing tail, this cardigan has the perfect amount of fit and flare for any outfit. It comes in a variety of patterns from crochet to ribbed to knit. One of the more popular of these patterns is lace. Lace is a style that provides an elegant style to an everyday casual look. It is a look that is being seen in stores everywhere from lace shorts to lace shirts and dresses. Lace is both comfortable and light, which makes it perfect for fall weather and as a cardigan.

Now incorporating this lovely lace cardigan into your style is simple. One can pair it with high-waisted shorts, jeans, leggings or a T-shirt dress. This Fashionista chose a flared T-shirt dress and short booties. The neutral color of the T-shirt dress ties the look together, while continuing with the flow of the cardigan. Its flared hem contrasts the sharp edge of the bottom of her cardigan. Also, the difference between the materials of the lace cardigan and cotton dress make the cardigan stand out even more in her outfit. To finish this look, she added a pair of short boots that accent the casual look.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My style advice for the week is to be different and never stop taking risks. So many people today like to live and dress in their comfort zone. There’s a reason why the first idea doesn’t normally work out; it’s because it is a primary starting point for the creation you become. Dress like who you want to become, what you want the world to see you as. Surround yourself in the beauty that the world creates for you, but most importantly find the beauty within yourself and your personal style will shine from there.”
