In a city, especially one like New York, it’s hard to break out from the all-black dress code. It’s easiest to throw on black pants and a black top just to blend in on the sidewalks, but if you’re looking for a way to stand out from the crowds, try white! One of my favorite ways to do this is with white jeans.

This Fashionista rocks the white jean trend and pulls it off perfectly! Her simple, black blouse contrasts with the pure white of the pants and matching jelly sandals. The simplicity of the colors is what makes this outfit so striking. With neutral colors like these, it’s important to focus on the shapes of your pieces as well as accessories. This Fashionista’s flowy button-down top blew gracefully in the wind and added a feminine touch to the straight lines of her rolled up pants. To complete the look, she added a gold watch and a minimalistic leather backpack (perfect for carrying your textbooks in style). This look is perfect for the end of summer and even for the new school year.

Right now, white jeans are very trendy in all shapes. Try white ripped boyfriend jeans or even cropped jeans! And though Labor Day has passed, there’s no reason to stop wearing white. In the fall, including white is sure to make you and your outfits stand out from the crowd.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When color-blocking with white jeans, I find it best to keep your accessories simple. The color combo should be the knockout, not your flashy jewelry.”
