STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keeping The Holidays Alive

After the holidays, I always tend to continually wear a specific piece of clothing for the next few months. People always tell me, “The holidays have ended,” but it almost becomes my prized possession. If you’re like me, you may think it is a bit too soon to retire your holiday sweater. I say, “‘Tis the season for the unceasing not-so-ugly Christmas sweaters!” The cold temperatures are only going to return these next few months, so you are definitely going to need them.

Dressed for a casual winter day out, this Fashionista recycles her patterned holiday sweater in a cute, simple, yet, comfortable everyday look. Worn with black leggings, the loose black and white, with a spot of red, knitted sweater is thick enough to keep yourself warm. Especially if you don’t feel like wearing a huge winter coat that day. These sweaters are also very versatile to weather changes. When it gets a little warmer this Fashionista does a simple roll up with her sleeves, and because the sweater has many patterns, the rolls go almost unnoticed even if they may seem a little on the thicker side. Lastly, this Fashionista completes her look by wearing her black Simply Vera booties accessorized with a black Ralph Lauren rectangular cross-body bag. These additional features help to maintain a more “appropriate for any situation” feel.

This outfit is perfect if you’re that person who spent hours (maybe even days) looking for you holiday sweater. Don’t let that time well spent go to waste. Instead, continue to wear YOUR prized possession! It may even keep that holiday spirit alive a bit longer.
