STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Holiday Delight

Before we can head off for winter break, we have to get through the blood, sweat and tears of finals (okay, maybe not blood and sweat, but definitely tears). There’s only one thing on students’ minds to get us through finals, the holidays!

It’s finally December, and all anyone can talk about is the holidays. This time of the year is filled with an abundance of social functions, so making sure you have an outfit that stands out from everyone else can be kind of overwhelming at times. When picking out an outfit, choose a simple dress but one that has a little pizzazz to it like this Fashionista did. She knows just what it takes to make an outfit go from a typical, been there and seen that holiday look to a unique, show stopping display.

Let’s take a look at this Fashionista’s Victorian, Romanticism-inspired dress. I am obsessed with the pattern! The dark hues on a silky material give the dress a mystic and romantic vibe that really catches the eye. The choker neckline and cutout on the chest gives the dress a risky feel while the drop waist silhouette gives it an overall classy look. This dress can be worn for almost any occasion. To make it more modest, this Fashionista layered on a lace bralette, grey cardigan and black tights. The wedged black booties make the outfit even trendier. To tie off the look and make it holiday official, this Fashionista threw on some red lipstick.

The holiday season is filled with many parties and social obligations, giving you several occasions to rock your chic, over-the-top evening look. Take a cue from this Fashionista’s styling and wear a dress or pattern that will sure turn heads the minute you walk through the door.
