When it comes to the delicate transition between winter, spring and summer, the perfect relaxed cotton dress can be the key to an effortlessly fashionable look. The loose silhouette of the dress allows for movement, while appearing more dressed up than the usual lounge T-shirt and denim shorts. Due to the comfort level afforded by this outfit, it is perfect for studying for finals week looming ahead and the impending doom that seems to come with it. Sundresses are available in a variety of colors and prints and are appropriate for almost every occasion. The key is in how you accessorize.

I spotted this Fashionista walking on campus in her black and white sundress. Since it was a sunny, yet breezy day, she brought a long gray cardigan along and sported a pair of black combat boots. She accessorized with an arm of silver bangles, as well as two stackable knot rings. These added subtle sparkle to the laid back outfit. To complete the look, she tied up half of her hair into a ponytail.

The graphic pattern of the dress really pulls this outfit together. Stripes are timelessly chic and tie in the spring and summer seasons, without resorting to the typical floral. With graphic sundresses, you can accessorize based on any of the colors in the dress, or go with a contrasting necklace or shoes. Cardigans in similar colors add numerous options.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I would say that the combination of black and white is a cute way to keep an outfit simple yet fun! Also, combat boots are a great way to give a simple dress some edge.”
