STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: From Choreography to Class

When I go to my hip hop class, I always try to keep my look fashionable as well as comfy. It is forever a struggle to look put together while you’re sweating it out during the choreography. This can pose a challenge when I want to dress up in my coolest street style gear but it isn’t breathable enough for dancing! However, I am definitely starting to take pointers from this Fashionisto when it comes to dressing for success with an active lifestyle.

One thing that works well when dressing for an active class is utilizing lightweight fabrics. Sport brands like adidas and Nike make a lot of athleisure pieces that wick away moisture and keep you looking good when you’re sweating it out. This Fashionisto keeps it simple with a pair of versatile black joggers and a white cotton T-shirt. These pieces are great for an active lifestyle whether you are in the dance studio slaying choreography or going on a quick jog after your chemistry lecture.

To take his look to the next level, the Fashionisto adds a trendy bomber jacket. The monochrome effect of the white bomber on top of the white T-shirt gives this look a fresh and modern vibe, which is perfect for a hip hop class. Adding a jacket can take any look from simple to amazing in seconds.

The monochrome theme of the bomber jacket and T-shirt are carried into the shoes in this outfit. These awesome white high tops are a great addition to anyone’s shoe collection! Again, the versatility in color and style of shoes are a must have for people who are on the go, and I personally love how these shoes are paired with this look.

As a final touch to the outfit, this Fashionisto adds a pink and white baseball hat by Kadabra Inc., a dance apparel company based in Argentina. Baseball hats are popular right now (especially in the dance community) and I like the pop of color that this hat adds to the outfit.

Well, there you have it! Another awesome look that works for all sorts of lifestyles. Make sure to keep an eye out for more of my articles this semester!
