When it comes to visiting a new city or wondering around your hometown, Fashionistas always contemplate what outfit would fit best for the occasion. In the mindset of most, being a tourist is a time when comfort is key and digging up their old tennis shoes and T-shirts is satisfactory for the non-stop sight seeing. For the oddball and crazy fashion lovers like myself, we take full advantage of being able to create outstanding outfits while still being comfortable enough to jump on and off the tour bus and be on our feet all day.
Shoes can make or break a day of exploring. With blisters on your feet and Band-Aids in your hand, comfort can sometimes become a last priority when you’re trying to look stylish. In recent years, flats have become one of the latest trends and so have espadrilles, on and off the runway. High-end stores such as Chanel and Coach have taken a liking to espadrilles as well as stores like Forever 21 and DSW. Espadrilles are not only cute and tasteful but also comfortable and easy to pair with any outfit. In the summer, espadrilles work perfectly at the beach or at a dinner with friends; these shoes can either be dressed up or down depending on how you wear them.
Espadrilles are easy and comfortable for exploring and doing activities. They are easy to wear and keep your feet feeling just as great as you look wearing them. Espadrilles add a touch of elegance and sophistication over most flats because of their unique platform and woven rim around the edge of the shoe.
While sitting outside of the Art Institute of Chicago, my eye was instantly drown to this Fashionista’s outfit and stunning espadrilles. She was exploring downtown while still looking cute and comfortable. This Fashionista wore a loose fitting black T-shirt and a white skirt with edgy cuts and lines that made a plain white skirt transform into a statement piece. The color of her top and skirt enhance the black leather espadrilles and makes your eyes glance straight at her feet. She also added a black leather purse which pairs perfectly with the leather in her shoes. This Fashionista nailed this look and executed the latest high fashion trend of wearing espadrilles flawlessly.
