STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Dressing for Fall

No matter how hot or cold it may be, it’s still considered fall and there are some style tips to remember when getting dressed this time of year. Like this Fashionista, I have seen many college students on campus rocking this style. This look is cute and stylish yet it is also comfortable, which is a necessity for all those midterms these past couple weeks.

This Fashionista is all about wearing dark colors, as you should during the fall. Maroon has always been a popular color for the fall. Plus, it is also a very flattering color. Dressing in layers is also a style tip because I’m not sure about any of you, but at our school you can go from a room that feels like Antarctica to another room that feels like a sauna. So, it’s always beneficial to wear go-to pieces you can easily remove and put back on.

For this look, this Fashionista went with a tank top with vertical stripes and some embroidering on the top as well as a pair of black leggings. She is also wearing her favorite maroon cardigan sweater. This is what she calls her stable piece for the fall. My favorite part about this look is the shoes. Black booties are always a must-have in anyone’s wardrobe but what makes these unique and add something to the look is the quilted detailing on the back.

The last piece of style advice from this Fashionista is to always dress for the season and when in doubt, just be you!
