STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cute As a Button

In Florida, where the highs of 90 degrees is quite consistent year round, summer dressing can pose a challenge. Think how easier it would be if you were to just wake up, throw on a T-shirt, some gym shorts and be on your way. This morning method may be comfortable to some but personally I like to present myself in a more formal way. First impressions are very important; you’ll know never who you’ll meet! The question I’ve asked myself constantly this summer is, what’s something you can wear that is not only comfortable but also doesn’t look like you just rolled out of bed? Take it from this Fashionisto who chose a button-up short sleeve shirt as his summer staple.

When it was invented 110 years ago, button-up shirts were considered informal. In recent years, they have transpired to be worn for more formal occasions, but seemingly like everything else in the world, it has come around full circle and is worn more casually. This Fashionisto delightfully pairs his printed shirt with black shorts and leather sneakers. He is a prime example of a simple summer style that any guy can pull off. The key to purchasing button-up tops for the summer weather is to make sure it’s fitted but not tight on the body to avoid those lovely perspiration spots. Solid color tops are nice, but you’ll get brownie points if they’re printed. Now bold prints may be intimidating but my best advice to you is to let it do the talking. Wear that bold print item with other simpler articles of clothing as to not overwhelm the outfit. Short-sleeved shirts are a great way to look good and feel good. They are an easy wear, and I would recommend all you fellas have a few in your wardrobe.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “No need to stress; of course you dress to impress, but always wear what you think looks nice and makes you feel comfortable.”
