STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cut Me Off

Hey there Fashionistas/os! I hope all of you are enjoying your summer because I know I am. Other than the pool, this summer, I have been dipping my toe into several realms of the fashion world. I stumbled upon an old trend that has upgraded lately and became more versatile.

Over the years there is one summer style that is truly consistent and it returns every year—cut-offs. Although this trend is usually done to shorts and vests, it is not limited to those pieces alone. This Fashionisto is rocking a pair of white cut-off jeans as well as a cut-off denim shirt. To top it off, he is rocking a colorful bucket hat and a pair of navy blue loafers. It’s a nice mix of urban and classic. I really like this street-chic look because while it is comfortable and casual, it also gives an edge to a very clean look.

Besides the hat, this Fashionisto did not include any other accessories with this outfit, but he didn’t need to as the look says it all. I know this trend of cut-offs is usually seen on summer shorts, but by taking this look and applying it to other pieces, you can definitely make the transition between summer and fall much smoother.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Cut-off jeans are not a hard look to pull off, male or female. Make sure you check the length before you make or buy a pair. The length and fit can really alter the look.”
