STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cuff Them All

When thinking about cuffed sleeves and cuffed pants, we might think of suits and fancy boat attire; but now, cuffing your clothes has become a trend not only for special occasions, but in everyday wear. What’s great about this trend is that you can apply it to both formal and casual outfits. Many designers now cuff the article of clothing to help pull their piece together.

Cuffing your shirt not only helps keep them up but it also helps elongate your arms making them look slimmer because it fits perfectly in the sleeve. This Fashionisto is wearing a baby blue henley shirt. The sleeves are designed to be rolled up and secured with a strap and button. He paired this spring colored top with a simple pair of beige twill shorts. Cuffing your pants can also help elongate the legs and help polish the look because the end of the pant leg is rolled to be fitted at your ankles.

For Fashionistas out there, try cuffing the ends of your jeans whether they are the perfect length or not. Then add on a pair of sandals or booties and see the difference! You can cuff all styles of jeans, boyfriends, skinnies, straight, etc. Wearing a long sleeve or quarter length blouse? Cuff that too! Just roll them up and at the last roll, flatten it out for a straight edge.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to be comfortable. And comfort for me is not only feeling good but also looking good. As an athlete, I have always worn basketball shorts and a T-shirt. Now that I’m in college, I have learned to keep it casual but still look like an adult.”
