STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Colored Trousers

It’s not often I’ll randomly go up to strange men on the street. But for the sake of fashion, that’s not a question. I basically followed this Fashionisto in order to snap a pic of his chic ensemble (not creepy at all). I really liked his vibe—who says work pants have to be boring? Colored denim, trousers and basically anything else that goes on the bottom half of your body is a perfect way to subtly spruce up any outfit. It makes you look more put together in one simple step. Colored pants have also been popular on the runways. The brand Boglioli features red, green and yellow trousers in their spring/summer 2015 lookbook, while Gucci and Dunhill had pastel trousers in their spring/summer 2015 lookbooks. So toss out those blacks and grays, boys. It’s time to add a little color to your wardrobe!

Like I said before, I basically stalked this man in order to share his amazing style with all of you. His maroon pant really stuck out to me because I’d never seen this color on any fellow New Yorker before, and I am out on the streets A LOT. A guy who takes fashion risks is worth paying attention to. He pairs his trousers with a black button-down, brown belt, black leather loafers and a khaki/brown bag (to match his belt, of course—this guy really gets it). All in all, this Fashionisto did it all right.

Is your workplace a little more casual? Try out colored trousers in a short version! Check out this cutie in New Looks’ spring/summer 2015 lookbook. I’ve never seen green look so good.
