STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Chic Me In

Seasons change, and so does your wardrobe. Keep it simple and chic this summer with hints of creams and shades of gray. There are of course more colors and combinations you can add into your chic wardrobe, it’s your choice. In the summertime there are more options and more accessories to add to your wardrobe. To me it seems easier because there are less clothes you have to pile on, also you can be cool and causal with the simplest of trends.

I love bringing out a basic white T-shirt with ripped jeans, my MAC Ruby Woo red lipstick, and my lace up sandals. You can be risky whether it’s with a bohemian hat, a T-shirt dress or even my favorite the infamous pencil skirt. The pencil skirt is impeccable and can be paired with almost anything such as, a jean button up shirt, a boyfriend shirt, or maybe a tank top.

It’s always important to feel confident in what you’re wearing, so make sure to rock it with your personal style. These are just a few ways that you could pair up this style, to add in that signature chic look you can pair the pencil skirt with a button up color of your choice, or a chiffon shirt, or even wear something similar to what the Fashionista is wearing above.

This Fashionista is taking it chic all the way this summer by switching it up a bit for the television show she’s shooting on campus. She is wearing a mustard skirt, a pair of open toe heels, a black button-up embellished with gold buttons and don’t forget to add a few accessories! With this outfit you could add an embellished necklace, or maybe even a watch. Accessories are always important, to me it’s what makes the outfit stand out even if you’re just wearing a basic T-shirt. I hope this summer you’re going to be chic all the way in!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “What I prefer the most is the pencil skirt simply because its form fitting, and can be worn as causal or dressy. You get the best of both worlds.”
