2017 is a new year, and a new beginning for everyone. The new year often comes with a lot of new opportunities, new loves, and even new fashions, but sometimes the old is not so bad. You know what they say: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
As a Fashionista or Fashionisto, we have all gone through the “I only wear black” phase and then try to fight the urge to slip back into that era of our lives every time we get dressed. But sometimes all black is exactly what we need.
Wearing all black can tell different things about you and your fashion. Sometimes it may be used to make a statement, rebellion, to blend in, or even just because it works. This Fashionista’s black ensemble says she owns it!
This Fashionista seems to understand what she wants and is not afraid to go for it! This look is sexy, sleek, and so on-trend. Slip-on dresses are definitely a 2016 trend that I believe will get even more recognition in the new year.
Her long black slip dress is paired with a long sleeve, sheer turtleneck. The sheer top underneath the slip spices up the look, making it a bit sexier than a simple white T-shirt would. The black socks and black booties perfectly accent the outfit and give it a more casual feel.
While the socks and shoes create a more casual look, they also add somewhat of a grunge element to the outfit. The Fashionista’s hair and silver jewelry give personality to the black on black arrangement.
My style advice is, don’t be afraid to go back to black. Sometimes wearing dark clothes is exactly what you need to let your personality shine through!
