With so many makeup products on the market, how do we ever choose what to spend our money on? Google searching “best mascara” will land you in a blackhole and/or give you a panic attack. (Do I want length, fullness, or just to hide in my room forever?)
Well take a deep breath because you don’t have to rely on faceless search engine results. We asked some of the coolest girls we know, aka our CollegeFashionista Style Gurus, what their “holy grail” makeup products are that they cannot live without, and this is what they said.
It Cosmetics, Your Skin But Better CC Cream
Style Guru Katie Schwartz said she loves this foundation because of the amazing full coverage it provides without being too heavy on the skin. This foundation contains color correcting and anti-aging properties, while also having SPF 50+ to protect your youthful skin from the sun. She said, “It’s honestly just the best foundation and is great for the spring and summer, and I’ll always go back to it.”

The Body Shop Bronzer in Golden Bronze
Style Guru Samu Sibiya uses this product as highlighter because it has shimmer to it. She said that she “loves the combination color of gold and brown so the shimmer it gives is not too overpowering.” She adores the natural looking glow it gives, and the fact that you can build up its intensity!

MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Gold Deposit
Style Guru Taylor Hale loves this product as it is the best highlight she has ever used. She says, “even on my groggiest of days, I’ll swipe some on and be glowing like a little angel.” This product is a cult favorite for its rich, golden tones and ultimate sparkle, perfect for giving you the bronzey glow without the sun damage. Even I have this product, and I have to say, it is one of the best investments I have ever made.

Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer
Style Guru Valerie Veak loves this concealer because of its blendability and full coverage. She uses this product to hide her dark circles after she has had long nights with minimal sleep, and says it makes her look “fresh and lively.”

Red Lipstick
Style Guru Brisa Gomez loves a solid, red lip as it helps her elevate any look she wants to try and helps her feel “confident, cool, and strong.” She believes that red lips are “empowering and definitely a confidence booster.” Some of her favorites are from the brands Rimmel London and Smashbox. According to Brisa, you can never go wrong with a red lip, and it is a classic staple.
