FASHION FROM ABROAD: Everything Floral

I recently had the opportunity to study in Australia for a couple of weeks before starting up spring semester. It’s Australia’s summer right now so the weather was hot and all the clothes had a summer look and feel. Walking the streets of downtown Sydney, you will see many floral prints along with pale pinks and whites that make up rompers or long wrap-up dresses.

After being in Australia for a couple of weeks I quickly learned to love the amazing style that everyone tends to have. Every look is flawless but carefree at the same time. They don’t dress up their outfits with a lot of accessories, but instead go for a simpler look. The most jewelry they often wear are a few rings on their fingers or a simple choker necklace. Most Australians are very tan, which goes perfectly with the lighter colors they wear.

I stayed at a college while I was in Sydney and met this Fashionista that captured the Australian look perfectly. She’s wearing a floral romper with the most popular colors you’ll see: pale pink, white, and green. This romper has short sleeves that flow on her arms, which are perfect for the warm weather. It has a low cut neckline that turns into strings to make a bow to give the romper more detail. This look is completed with two larger, but simple, silver rings on the same hand.

This simple but fashionable romper could be worn out for coffee and brunch or a night on the town depending on what shoes you plan to pair with it. Australians don’t stray away from the simple look even when planning an outfit to go out in.
