BEAUTY BAR: The Perfect Ponytail

At least once every summer my hair nearly gives me heat stroke! (Slight exaggeration, I can be dramatic at times). During those hot summer days, my mane somehow transforms itself into a fleece blanket! However, no one wants to cut their precious locks just because they get a little uncomfortable. A perfect solution to stay cool this summer while still looking chic is to put your hair in a pony! Ponytails have recently become very popular in the fashion world. There are so many different ways to style your ponytail. You can go for the messy pony, sleek it back, set it up high or low, add some braids or throw a headband into the mix. It really just depends on your personal style and what goes with your outfit that day.

This Fashionista rocks the low ponytail. She added a braid and some soft beach waves. One of my favorite parts is how she wrapped a piece of her hair around the ponytail holder until the holder was hidden. This little detail made the hairstyle dressier and more chic. She also pulled some hair out of her ponytail to frame her face. I often hear people say they can’t wear ponytails because their hair is too thin, so when it is all pulled back, they look bald. Taking pieces out of the pony is a great solution to this problem!

What’s on the BEUATY BAR? Hair trends do not take much supplies, which is great because that means it’s inexpensive to recreate this look! This Fashionista used a teasing brush to give her hair a little volume and a styling iron (also known as a wand) to get those beach waves. She kept her hair cool and relaxed through the humid summer day by using anti-humidity spray. With all of these tips and products, you can transform your hot head of hair into a cool, chic ponytail. Experiment with different ponytail styles until you find the one that works for you this summer!
