BEAUTY BAR: Smokin’ Hot

Everyone wants to make a great first impression when heading back to school. The fall is full of exciting experiences: starting classes again, meeting new friends and getting used to being back at school. So, why not try a fabulous beauty routine to kick off the new school year? This Fashionista decided to experiment with a smoky eye look to help step up her fall style.

This Fashionista kept her outfit simple and classy, pairing a black T-shirt from T.J. Maxx and white shorts from Target with elegant jewelry. The laid back ensemble accentuates the Fashionista’s dramatic makeup.

To achieve her smoky eye, this Fashionista uses Urban Decay’s Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette along with Urban Decay’s Ink for Eyes Eyeliner. For this look, our Fashionista first applies a thin line of eyeliner and then begins with eyeshadow. Starting with dark colors on the lid this Fashionista uses the included brush to apply shadows, working outwards with lighter colors until she has included all desired shades. She then blends the shadows and applies a thicker coat of eyeliner with wings. To finish out the look, the Fashionista applies two heavy coats of mascara and a shiny lip gloss.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this look, Urban Decay’s Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette is essential. Urban Decay’s website even features several tutorials on how to best utilize the numerous shades. A volumizing mascara and light shade of lip gloss perfect this look. Pair this look with a simple look for class or dress it up for a perfect party look!
