I spotted this Fashionista on the street and couldn’t look away from her stunning shade of lavender hair. It was such a unique color. Personally, I’ve never done more than adding a few highlights to my own hair, but I always appreciate a bold color on other people. Between the mermaid length and purple hue, her hair makes a major statement. The soft, ombré color pops against the black backdrop of her outfit. Monochromatic styles look sleek with such colorful hair. I’m a major fan of all-black outfits as it is, but this Fashionista’s long purple mane makes the look a bit softer and less intense.
You can never go wrong with a classic little black dress. This version is laid back enough to wear to class, like this Fashionista did, with pared down accessories. She could also dress it up for a dinner date with a pair of wedges or stilettos. The dress could work for her internship with a sweater and flats as well.
The metal choker is very on trend and a slightly more unexpected update from basic black. The statement making piece is the only jewelry she needs. Classic black ankle boots help transition the dress for fall. As it gets chillier here in the District, she could add a faded jean jacket or black motorcycle jacket.
The finishing touch is a mini black leather backpack, complete with a fluffy pom pom accessory. It’s the perfect size to store her camera and a few other essentials.
