BEAUTY BAR: Join the Dark Side

As the wintertime is approaching, everyone is bringing out his or her sweaters and dark colors. People are saying good-bye to their high-waisted shorts and hello to their favorite pairs of jeans. It is a season for warmth and comfort. A season of oversized sweaters. A season to bring out your dark side.

Black never goes out of fashion. It is the perfect neutral. You can pair it with any color, even black itself.  Why not translate this color to your makeup as well? This Fashionista has the most incredible makeup. Let’s start off with her bold lip color, a dark purple. People believe they can’t pull off the makeup extremes; for example, they think that their eyes aren’t big enough or that their lips are not plump enough. That is all bologna. Anyone can pull off this makeup look. Her lip color was gorgeous, complementing her eye makeup very well.

Eyeshadow is the perfect accessory to any outfit. It draws attention to your eyes and your face in general. This Fashionista’s intense smoky eye did exactly that. She made the focal point of her outfit her eyes. What someone else would have done with a purse or shoes, she did with eyeshadow. She made her eyes stand out even more with her exaggerated winged liner. This extreme cat eye was the icing on the cake for her makeup look.

As for this Fashionista’s outfit, it was perfect for the first snow. She paired a comfy sweater with a great pair of black jeans. Keeping with her color scheme, she threw on a black scarf to protect herself from those cold winds. She didn’t forget to accessorize a bit with her cool earrings on the right side. This was displayed clearly with her funky hairstyle.

Now, trekking through the snow can be a treacherous journey, but this girl is not going to have any difficulties. With a great pair of boots, even these Dr. Martens, you will be prepared to brave the cold and beautiful sheets of snow.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To recreate this look, focus on the lips and the eyes; combine a dark lipstick with a few shades of eyeshadow and a bit of liquid liner. When your look is complete, come join this Fashionista on the dark side.
