BEAUTY BAR: Funky Fitness

Every time I go to the gym I’m wearing a ratty old T-shirt with yoga pants and my hair on the top of my head in a style I like to call the extreme messy bun. I’m never one to look presentable when going to the gym because, let’s be real, I don’t really want to be there in the first place, but when I saw this Fashionista I couldn’t help but ask for her secret to looking so fierce while working out.

I think what really caught my attention was the color coordination that went into the outfit of this Fashionista. I first noticed the teal and white cropped yoga pants that the Fashionista is wearing because the bright colors are very eye-catching. Then I spotted the Fashionista’s Nike running shoes. The colors of her shoes matched her outfit, which in my opinion brings the whole look together.

As for the beauty style of this Fashionista, she keeps her makeup simple because no one wants a full face of makeup at the gym. Leaving her face free of foundation, this Fashionista opts to showcase her long lashes by coating them in a waterproof, lengthening mascara so that when she is sweating there’s no black makeup dripping down her face. Finally, this Fashionista is sporting what I like to call the Ariana Grande-insprired half-up, half-down look. By taking the shortest layers of your hair put them on the top of your hair in a ponytail and pull to make sure there’s volume and so your hair looks cute bouncing around when you’re walking on the treadmill.

The most important thing that I learned from this Fashionista is, even if you’re sweating your bum off at the gym, you might as well look great while doing it.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? In order to achieve this look, first you need waterproof mascara that is known for lengthening eyelashes. Once your eyelashes look perfect, a little bit of powder and a few spritzes of a setting spray will ensure that while sweating your face will still look sparkling and dewy. Finally, after putting your hair up in the half-up, half-down look spray some Surf Spray to style and keep the waves in your hair looking windswept and volumized.
