BEAUTY BAR: Cute Messy Bunning

Ever had one of those days where you wake up tired and groggy and the last thing you want to do is pick out an outfit, let alone do your hair? Maybe you spent the night before studying until 3:00 a.m., or maybe you had a fun night out with friends. Either way, we all have those post-late-night mornings where it feels like everything fashion must be thrown out the window. But, no more! Thanks to a multitude of Youtube videos, Instagram posts, and Pinterest boards, these lazy mornings are no longer a problem. The classic messy bun is always the perfect go-to hairstyle for those types of days. It is quick, easy and oh-so cute! But, don’t forget you need to pick the perfect casual outfit to go along with your messy bun.

This Fashionista has put together the perfect grunge look with only a few items. She has a pair of black leggings, which keeps the look comfy. On mornings like this, who wants to wear jeans–way too restricting! That’s why a loose, V-neck T-shirt is also the way to go. A dark green for fall or any color of your choice would go perfectly well. And since it has become chilly outside, a long, loose cardigan is a must! I absolutely love the small pleating on the side of the arms. It gives it a touch of femininity without losing the grunge feel. You can even add a long, simple necklace to dress it up a little. After all, you want to look like you put some effort into the look without actually having done so. Lastly, just pair it with your favorite booties. Now you’re ready to tackle the day in style and, maybe more importantly, in comfort! You didn’t get much sleep remember?

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: All you need is an elastic band and your fingers. What you want to do first is brush through your hair to get the tangles out. Once you have done this, gather up your hair in a high loose bun. You can use bobby pins if needed. To give the bun more volume, gently pull the sides of the bun and tug on the center of the bun into a U shape. As shown by this Fashionista, you can pull out some strands of hair to make it look effortlessly done. That’s what I call “Cute Messy Bunning!”
