BEAUTY BAR: Braided Crown

If you can’t seem to make up your mind whether you like the fish tail or the classic braid, try both! A braided crown up-do gives your look a twist with two braids styled into one chic look.

This Fashionista tamed her mane with a twist on a simple crown braid. What she did first was split her hair into two parts; on the first part, she braided back and tied it off with a small rubber band, and then on the second part, she created a fish tail braid. This Fashionista pinned down the smaller fish tail portion over the top of her head and then secured the classic braid on the opposing side with mini bobby pins to create a crown out of the two braids.

This look is perfect if you’re having a bad hair day or you’re just bored with your everyday hair routine and want to try something different. I love that this Fashionista is also sporting very simple makeup with a hint of bright color on her lips. Her outfit is also very minimalistic with just a striped T-shirt dress, a basic black cross-body bag and a pair of super comfortable TOMS.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To recreate this chic and stylish up-do, you’ll need a pack of mini sized bobby pins that are closest to your hair color. Next, you need a pack of small elastic hair ties and hairspray. I personally go for hairspray that does not harden your hair like living proof flex hold. Now you have an effortlessly chic and stylish up-do!
