BEAUTY BAR: Beauty and Braids

I wish I had time to curl my hair everyday, but as a busy college student that is not a realistic beauty routine to have. I always have this unrealistic plan of getting up way before my class and getting done up, but in reality I end up waking up 10 minutes beforehand. I have been trying to find hairstyles that make me look put together for class but are not time consuming. What I have found is braids are the best bet for looking put together within minutes; my favorite is the fishtail braid.

The Fashionista was spotted en route to the library studying for her finals. When it comes to finals week, comfort is key. The Fashionista stayed comfortable yet cute by pairing an oversized sweatshirt with leggings. To make the look more feminine, the Fashionista opted for a fishtail braid and glasses. The fishtail braid is great because it will keep hair out of your face when you are on the run. Another great thing about the fishtail braid is it can literally be pared with a dressy look or a completely casual look. The braid can be kept neat and tight or it can be loosened for a messy bohemian look.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this look, start out by separating hair into two sections. Then take part of one section and bring it over to the opposite section, repeat the same thing with the other section. Repeat both steps until a braid is created. Finish off the braid with a spritz of hair spray and elastic.
