BEAUTY BAR: A Pop of Unexpected Color

With college basketball here, it calls for celebration on campus. Games are an excuse to hang out with your friends, dress up, and have fun. But, if you’re like me, there are only so many game day outfit combinations of school colors you can put together throughout the year until you are finally bored of your closet.

One thing that stood out to me about this Fashionista was her bright blue eye shadow. She wore minimal lipstick and stuck to simple mascara and blush to make certain that her eyes were the focal point of this look. This Fashionista stood out in the crowd because of the simple pop of color she added. To create this look, this fellow Fashionista said she used eye shadow primer strictly on her lid and then used a flat brush to pat the eye shadow on. She put the eye shadow just on her lid, to ensure that it didn’t look like she was wearing costume makeup. After she put the eye shadow on her lid, she took a smaller, thinner brush and added the eye shadow to her bottom lash line. This look is easy, makes a statement and can be done with tons of different shades.

This Fashionista’s school spirit shines through in her outfit too. She sports a bold, red sweater, ripped light wash skinny jeans, a simple flannel wrapped around her waist, and brown suede booties. This look is pretty simple, but the vivid color of the sweater brings an extra kick of flavor to this game day look.

With second semester finally here and classes in full swing, add some punch to your weekend look. Spice up your game day outfit with your makeup for an easy way to stand out in your college town.
