ALL IN THE DETAILS: These Boots Were Made for Walking

For Spring Break I had the amazing opportunity to head down to New York City for a couple of days. To make this trip just a little more special, my trip coincided with New York Fashion Week! Unfortunately I was unable to view the runway shows, but I was able to glimpse the models as they jetted off to their next show. Not only did they look great on the runway, but the same can be said about their off the runway personal style. The go-to outfit I saw the most was a sleek leather jacket with leggings and over-the-knee boots.

This outfit is not just for Gigi Hadid or Cara Delevingne. I was delighted to find this Fashionista while on my way to class one day. Just because we are students does not mean we need to sacrifice style!

My favorite piece here is the over-the-knee boots. They are a prefect pair of boots, because they go with anything. If you are feeling bohemian, pair them with a billowy floral dress or for a preppy look pair them with an A-line skirt. These boots make anyone look effortlessly chic!

This Fashionista rocks her outfit just like our off duty models: a pair of black leggings, white T-shirt and leather jacket. For an added touch to keep warm from the cold she wore a matching gray beanie and scarf. The layering of the light colored scarf over the dark leather jacket is great for adding contrast, and also textures. Those little details adds an interesting touch.

Finally the studs add a dash of glimmer and shine, while playing to the casual style as it was not over done with too many accessories. While this Fashionista is not hitting the runways of New York or Paris, she is stuttering her stuff on the streets of Toronto.

How To: Over-the-knee boots are one of the most versatile boots that anyone can own. Once the cold weather and salt are gone do not fret, because you do not have to put those boots away! Ditch your leggings for a cute dress and denim jacket and you’re ready to hit the town.
