ALL IN THE DETAILS: Textiles Galore

Cross your fingers that this spring will be a good one, Minnesota got a little tease in February. We were all able to take off all of the layers and just go enjoy the city, a coffee and a book out on the patio. This Fashionista took a bit of a risk, and styled a soft grunge look, perfect for the sunny Minnesotan days.

Pattern on pattern is amazing, if done properly. Sometimes, it is easily overdone making it a very taunting task. With this look, the delicate detail within the dress goes perfectly with the patterned sweater. This distressed tunic style dress is full of character. It really allows you to have the opportunity to dress it up, or down. She paired this piece with a chunk patterned cardigan, which really popped the reds from the tunic dress. Not only did the cardigan pop the reds from the tunic dress, but it was paired with a darker lip to add some drama. Adding to the soft grunge style she created, she chose a nice grunge, yet classy combat boot. Tying this look all together, are these amazing sunglasses. This particular pair of sunglasses draw in a lot of the attention. The pink reflection morphs with the reds from the sweater and tunic dress! What a statement. They allow the reds throughout the look to really come out and POP!

How To: There are minimal accessories in this look since the dress and sweater are such a statement in itself. Whenever you are pairing patterns, find a common ground your pieces have. In this look, she brought everything together throughout the monochromatic scale of red. Explore and have fun with it!
