ALL IN THE DETAILS: Simple is Sometimes Better

Fall weather has finally begun to arrive in Harrisonburg, Virginia. That means that the Fashionistas on James Madison University’s campus have started to pull out the leather jackets, sweaters and boots. Neutrals are the easiest colors to style because you can add a pop of fun jewelry to any simple outfit.

This Fashionista decided to use this gorgeous fall weather to her advantage, with her simple outfit. She paired a white shirt with slightly flared dark jeans and a tan leather jacket. The leather jacket is a unique change from the traditional black especially if you aren’t into the edginess of a black leather jacket. The flared jeans are also a refreshing change from the traditional skinny jeans, but the dark color makes your legs look slimmer and they are much more dressy than a pair of leggings. She also added a pair of black wedged booties, which helps give her height and also keeps her pants from dragging on the ground.

Since her outfit is so simplistic, this Fashionista added some gorgeous bohemian style jewelry. She has a long wrap necklace with a purple stone at the end, which she made herself. If you make one of these wrap style necklaces rather than buying one, then you can save yourself some money. She also has a Kendra Scott style necklace, which is shorter. She layers these together to make a necklace stack, which is very popular right now. For earrings, she has a simple pair of gold hoops that are still unique from a traditional pair because of their thickness. These pieces of jewelry add a ton of style to a simplistic outfit.

Let’s all take this Fashionista’s style inspiration, as reminders that fall can be one of the most stylish seasons of the year.

What to take this outfit to dinner instead of class? You can swap the shoes for a funky pair of heeled booties, like maybe something velvet, that adds even more fun to your outfit.
