ALL IN THE DETAILS: Romper Room

Over past year or two, jumpsuits have been making their way back on to the fashion scene. Crawling back from the 1970s and ’80s, women everywhere are embracing the comfortable-yet-sexy combination of the jumpsuit. It’s shorter, flirtier cousin, the romper, is the better alternative to the jumpsuit to beat the summer heat. Finding the perfect romper that fits your taste and style can be hard, especially if you’re anything like me: a girl who can never get enough of collared shirts, blazers, A-line skirts, plaid and headbands if she tried. Rompers don’t traditionally fit into my style label, or any label for that matter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t integrate one into your summer wardrobe.

This Fashionista has picked a stunning yet simple black romper. She can make a lot of moves with this piece; as shown, she’s wearing it with an oversized sweater and a classic pair of Jack Rogers. Her look is put together and complete, but without being over the top. She can wear this to the mall, the movies and even to dinner. Dressing up a romper can be super fun too. Add a pair of wedges, a statement necklace, and maybe a leather jacket, and you’re ready for a night on the town.

Rompers are the perfect alternative to the sundress in 2015, and quite honestly they are a lot more carefree and easier to move in! Invest in a good classic like this Fashionista did, or go all out for a vibrant pattern or color for fun summer nights!

How To: Whether it’s in a basic color and cut, or in a super bohemian style, the most important thing is to invest in a romper that fits your body well. Pair it with a comfortable sweater for colder nights, or to transition into the fall weather!
