ALL IN THE DETAILS: Retro Floralista

Do you recall the Lilly for Target collection that sold out in 10 minutes flat? Oh, no? I’ll let you relive my experience: I stalked the collection day and night until the midnight release online. Unfortunately, the website crashed on me and I headed straight for Plan B. Around six in the morning, I hopped in line at the nearest Target. I was the 20th person in line and once 8:00 a.m. struck, the madness began. My local Target had the smallest quantity of each item and I barely got my hands on a thing. I walked away devastated and a tad traumatized!

When I spotted this stylish Fashionista, her outfit immediately reminded me of Lilly Pulitzer’s fun designs. This embroidered tunic has a funky, ’70s floral print with a slight flare toward the hems of the sleeves. How groovy is this pattern? This Fashionista’s tunic is a vintage find designed by Tory Burch. Floral print is a summer must-have and the floral print trend has finally gone retro. We all love an awesome vintage find and now you can purchase a modern, ’70s-inspired piece here.

I met this Fashionista on a humid and sunny day at an outdoor museum. Wearing a tunic provides style and protection, keeping you cool from a heat wave. This Fashionista nailed the color in her outfit. She wore a pair of iconic white jeans and subtle snakeskin thong sandals. She looks like she belongs at a yacht party in the Hamptons!

How To: Do you have an eventful day ahead of you? Replicate this outfit to look chic all day and night. You can rock this outfit to brunch, a day of shopping and a date night. For a night out, switch your flats for a pair of sexy heels and change your stud earrings for a pair of gold hoops. Voilà, you’re all set!
