ALL IN THE DETAILS: Put A Pin On It

With winter comes the gravitation towards more neutral or darker tones when it comes to outfits. The drab winter weather, as well as fluctuating daytime temperatures, tends to cause people to bundle up in the same layers day by day for convenience and minimal effort. As a majority of the crowd tends to look the same, what caught my eye with this Fashionista was how she chose to accessorize her outfit ever so subtly by pulling together a neutral toned look with enamel pins.

In this look, this Fashionista has paired a black denim overall dress with tights and a cowl neck shirt as a base to create a cute, feminine silhouette. She then chose to wear a long beige cardigan to separate the darkness of the overall dress and top, pulling the outfit together as well as making the outfit brighter as a whole. Finishing the look off with her matching suede ankle boots, her mustard yellow backpack adorned with enamel pins is what makes her look unique. Enamel pins have been a huge trend lately, allowing one to personalize any piece of their wardrobe and make it their own, while serving as a good conversation starter. Small and ranging from all color combinations, one can have many options and ways to place them on a favorite jacket, backpack, or shirt. The winter season does not necessarily have to associate with plain, drab, boring layered fashion. Small accessories such as pins can help add more personality to a look while still maintaining warmth and functionality.
