Contrary to fans of the popular television show, it’s not always sunny in Philadelphia! And here in North Philadelphia, when it rains, it pours. No matter where your college campus is located, everyone knows walking anywhere in the dreaded rain is enough to make even the most stylist of Fashionistas/os want to wear their most comfortable pair of sweatpants. What’s the solution to beating the wretched weather yet keep on looking stylish? This Fashionista seemed to have mastered it!
On this gloomy day, this Fashionista chose to wear a pair of leggings to keep her legs warm and protected while running from class to class. Different than typical leggings, though, is the funky print. Reminding me of leggings from the ‘80s, I was so intrigued and drawn in when I saw this Fashionista rocking a pair of tribal print pants. Between a scarf, sweater and boots, her brown and black leggings separate an all-black outfit by incorporating the perfect amount of neutral coloring.
This isn’t the first time I saw these on other Fashionistas, either. Patterned leggings seem to be a big trend on college campuses, probably having a lot to do with their eye-catching colors and prints. Though leggings are almost always being sported on Fashionistas, Fashionistos don’t have to be left out in this trend! Patterned pants are very popular among men and are enough to brighten up anyone’s rainy day.
How To: Do you have a top or sweater you find too big but can’t seem to part with? Adding printed leggings to your wardrobe is a great way to give form and shape to your figure while adding a pop of color and style. Also, if you own a plain-colored dress, printed tights are a great way to add a fashionable twist to your ensemble.
