Hello again Fashionistas and happy New Year!

Midwesterners know that this start of winter has been anything but normal. We all fear the frigid cold ahead, but for now we are enjoying that awkward, in-between weather that is reminding us of fall. The tricky part is figuring out what to wear during this time, lucky for you I found a Fashionista that seems to have got it right!

A simple black dress is essential in every wardrobe. The long sleeves on this dress give just enough warmth for today’s temperature, and as the mercury drops would look just as adorable with a chunky cardigan sweater. This Fashionista put on sheer black tights that contribute to the winter look. As you can see in the photographs, we have started to receive a touch of snow. Take advantage of this lack of snow and wear a fun pair of flats, such as these oxford flats. The best part of this outfit are the perfect accessories that accompany it. The gold-layered necklace adds a subtle bling to the ensemble and pulls in the neutral colors of the look. Take your everyday brown leather watch out of the box with the world map printed on the face. This Fashionista also did a fabulous job of throwing in some vintage-inspired rings, which are complemented by a perfect French manicure. Although this whole outfit is wonderful, the focus of this outfit is the tan felt hat. This hat is what takes this outfit to the next level and balances the cold weather. With the unpredictable precipitation that may fall, this hat rescues your hair from it all.

How To: Hats similar to this one have recently become more common, you can find one at any fashionable store at the mall! All you need is a simple outfit to accompany it and a great attitude.
