ALL IN THE DETAILS: Knee Deep

Transitioning between seasons can stump even the most seasoned Fashionista when selecting an outfit to take on the day. It’s tough to judge if it’s going to bone chillingly windy or mild and calm. Let’s be honest, are weather apps ever right? The answer is no, and the only way to dress at this awkward time of the year is to plan for anything and everything. If you can get creative like this Fashionista did than these looks can be some of the most adorable. But don’t take my word for it—the proof is in the pictures.

This look featured everything from a winter jacket to a loose and light sweater dress. What better way to brave the changing seasons than to piece together a variety of seasonal staples? Makes perfect sense, right? This Fashionista kept it classy and classic with a neutral color scheme, but she added pops of color with her maroon jacket and patterned Vera Bradley tote bag.

By layering black tights, gray leg warmers and black boots, this Fashionista’s look developed a dynamic vibe. Tights are obviously a winter staple, and you can never go wrong with leg warmers on those colder days. Combining the two items were a match made in fashion heaven. Next time you find yourself stumped by the weather forecast, just remember—warm a spring-like look up with some wintry accessories and flair.

How To: Start with a basic T-shirt or sweater dress and tights, and add excitement with accessories such as jackets, bags and boots. These items will carry you through fall, winter and spring depending on how you combine them.
