ALL IN THE DETAILS: Gold is Not Enough

A staple of any levelheaded Fashionista is one’s fair share of gold items—a nice gold bracelet, necklace, jacket or anything of the sort can instantly dress up an outfit and give it the pop necessary to make a look truly stand out. However, with more and more people (understandably) adopting this shining trend, it becomes harder and harder to develop a new, fresh take on this classic outfit choice. However, this Fashionista did just that—the gold motif throughout her outfit exhibited in the zip of the jacket, the bracelet and the stitching on the loafers incorporates the trend in a unique way, without overpowering the rest of the outfit.

My favorite part about this Fashionista’s look is her Stubbs & Wooten loafers—the gold-stitched “SNOB” across the top of her feet asserts the gold-trend, yet in a fresh, funny and vaguely self-depreciating way. Famous fashion blogger Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller always asserts that, in fashion, one should never take him or herself too seriously, an adage that this Fashionista has clearly adhered to. Additionally, the gold of her Hermès watch continues the motif in her outfit. Finally, the gold of the zipper of the Three Floor jacket completes a piece that is otherwise a unique, fun jacket that really completes this Fashionista’s outfit, truly making the whole look pop. The stitching of the David Learner leather pants completes the theme of individuality evident throughout each piece of the outfit, switching up the style of a classic black pant.

How To: Get this Fashionista’s gold motif by picking up some gold jewelry—such as this Hermès bracelet. Snag the fun and unique loafers from Stubbs & Wooten, and the jacket from Three Floor.
