ALL IN THE DETAILS: Giving Me Shade

Some love them big, bold and glamorous. Others prefer a sleek and sexy cat-eye style. Yet, others are head over heels for their go-to aviators. Sunglasses are, without a doubt, one of the most versatile and also necessary accessories. This eyewear is a must-have when roaming the city streets on a summer day or driving down the highway to protect your gorgeous peepers from the glaring sun. However, I don’t think it’s an accessory that people have enough fun experimenting with. Even I’m a culprit of this. I have my absolute favorite pair of DKNY sunglasses that have large frames but are very black and simple. I keep them in my handbag because they go with everything. While these are great, why not add a pair (or more like a few) fun, unique, statement-making sunglasses to your collection?

This Fashionista did just that by allowing her sunglasses to take center stage in her look. She paired her basic black and white striped T-shirt and black skinny jeans with a bold, metallic pair of sunglasses. The mirrored lenses, silver frames and on-trend cat-eye style are truly the focal point of her whole look. To finish off the look, she continued to let the eyewear shine by slipping into a pair of black flats and adding a simple, vintage Yves Saint Laurent watch and bags in more neutral shades.

How To: This summer, add some flair to your everyday outfit by adding a pair of stand out sunglasses. If you don’t already know what style works best with your face shape, head to your favorite store to try on a few different pairs. When you’re trying on new styles or scouring the Internet for chic sunglasses, don’t be afraid to have fun with a bold, eye-catching pair! Go all out and try something pink or a completely unexpected pattern or shape. If you’re stuck on where to look, I suggest Le Specs; their selection of eyewear is statement-making to say the least! All of their styles have the power to instantly make a basic outfit a complete, fashion-foward look.
