ALL IN THE DETAILS: Girl Meets Blue

Blue. A color known for itโ€™s calming effect and the color of honor. Blue is such a pretty color that has so many shades and because there are so many shades of blue it flatters every skin tone. Blue works for any look youโ€™re trying to go for whether it be formal, casual, chic, etc.

Here, this Fashionista is going for a quirky look. Sheโ€™s wearing a flannel tied at the belly with two different shades of blue. To brighten up her outfit she wears an orange circle skirt which I applaud her for (Iโ€™m all about taking risks) To add more fun to her outfit sheโ€™s rocking two friendship bracelets. On her feet she wears a trusty old pair of navy Sperry canvas sneakers to finish off her look. Which I love because its a mixture of girly girl meets tomboy and that allows you to be comfy while having a great time this summer.

Usually a lot of people are scared to have too much blue in one whole outfit except for the denim on denim trend; and that is still a no go area for most people. Personally Iโ€™m a gal whoโ€™s all about male collar shirts, so I have a bunch of blue in my closet. As a woman of color, itโ€™s quite easy to rock an all-blue outfit; therefore anyone can rock the look. I mean, look at this Fashionista! When you use the right shades of blue thereโ€™s never a thing such as โ€œtoo much blueโ€. Make sure you make blue a go to color this summer!

How To: Looking to perfect an all blue outfit today but you donโ€™t want to overdo it? Easy. Just pair a light colored blue T-shirt dress with a pair of denim or navy blue sneakers. Then add a black wide brimmed fedora and your favorite pair of sunglasses and youโ€™re good to go!
