ALL IN THE DETAILS: Fringe Forward This Spring

If you take a look at the spring 2015 runways, you will quickly notice that fringe was a big hit this year. And not just fringe where we usually see it, but fringe literally everywhere. Fringe is super cool and it’s certainly making a comeback. I must admit it, I wasn’t the biggest fan until I saw this week’s Fashionista. She rocks her jacket with fringe down the sides of it and I was inspired instantly.

The Fashionista’s use of fringe comes in her jacket. I would say that’s the most common way to wear fringe. A fringe jacket like this moto jacket is easily the safest way to try out the trend. This jacket will also give you an extra edgy vibe if you are looking for a fresh new look this season. And as I previously mentioned, fringe has been seen in many different forms. From boots to scarves, it really is just about everywhere. It was seen on the runways for the season and modeled by the top designers so why wouldn’t we try it out ourselves? I’m predicting to see more of it across campus this spring and I’m thinking this week’s Fashionista was just the start.

How To: I absolutely love this Fashionista’s look. It’s extremely unique and totally cool. Like I said, I was instantly inspired. As if her jacket isn’t cool enough, I’m always struck by someone being able to pull off sneakers with a dress and tights. If you’re wondering what to wear with your fringe, floral is a great idea. The Fashionista’s floral dress pairs perfectly with her fringe jacket. You won’t want to pass up a pairing as wonderful as that.
