Adding layers to a look is nothing new but definitely can be a challenge for some. The idea of adding an extra piece of clothing can often be difficult for our “plain Janes” out there, but it will always add some creativity to any look.
Her choice in color for her floral layer really complemented the olive shorts she paired with the look, as well as her pair of white flats that are perfect for any spring or summer day. To tie the outfit together, the Fashionista added a thin gold bracelet which looked great with her golden hair.
This style can be created with layering a plain piece of clothing with a pop of color or patterned item of clothing. This can also be done in reverse if the Fashionista wore a floral button down layered with a plain white tank or camisole. Adding layers to an outfit can be daring, but with some creativity an extra piece of clothing can go a long way.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Add some personality and color to any outfit when you include some summer floral or any other pattern that fits you. I also like to add gold pieces of jewelry to my many summer looks because of how warm and bronzed the color is.”
