ALL IN THE DETAILS: Blush And Rodeo Shows

Do you ever crave wearing boots even when winter is long gone and over? It doesn’t necessarily mean you miss winter in all its freezing glory per se (I know I don’t) but those boots…they too want to see and feel the warm sunlight. Cowboy boots are definitely year round shoes that shield you from the cold during winter, but it does get tricky making them work in warmer weather. I’ll be honest and admit that I have little experience wearing cowboy boots (or any type of boots) during non winter seasons—that is, without looking like I forgot to double check the weather forecast. However, it is possible.

This Fashionista’s cowboy boots give a dressier edge to her ensemble considering her dress and cardigan are in soft, plain colors. The best part? It is weather and season appropriate. The dress is short and loose while the cardigan, though great for layer, can always be taken off if it gets too hot. Cowboy boots give a different feel to dresses that flats or heels can’t. They are dressier than flats but more casual (and more comfortable, I might add) than heels. Choosing the cowboy boots as the statement piece, the Fashionista kept the accessories simple with tear drop earrings and a statement watch. This strikes a lovely balance where the different parts of the outfit are in harmony with one another.

How To: You can make those cowboy boots (or any type of boots) work during warmer weather. Opt for boots in neutral tones like brown and black to make your life easier; you can wear them with virtually anything. Finally, avoid trousers or jeans and go for shorts and free-flowing dress instead. Allow your legs to breath and let your cowboy boots do the talking!
