In the recent ready-to-wear shows, designers are still including the use of our favorite print: Aztec. Thanks to the fashion gods, it’s still current. I’m not sure what I would do if I couldn’t have my go-to print in my closet because it’s an easy outfit builder. We all are guilty of having at least one item with this print due to how trendy and cute it is, no matter what the occasion. When I spotted this Fashionista on campus I knew she executed this tribal look to a T.
This Fashionista’s use of her Aztec print is great way to execute that tribal-inspired look while still being daytime-appropriate. The mini dress that this Fashionista is wearing can be found in many different variations. However, as long as the print is on a lighter background, you are golden for any daily activity while staying stylish. The multiple colors of this dress give off a playful spring vibe that is acceptable anytime of the year in Tampa, Florida.
Along with this major trend and detail of the Aztec print, this Fashionista paired her dress with a simple white cardigan. This went well with the dress and still accented the print. She also decorated the outfit with a small but essential finishing touch of two bracelets.
How To: To differentiate from using solid colors with Aztec print, try a similar print or pattern of your choice, and add a different material for your cardigan like jean or lace. Mixing materials or patterns can make any outfit chic and daring.
