WHAT TO WEAR: Finals

It’s finals week here at UNL, and everyone’s stress level is on the rise as we near the end of the year. There are a million things to worry about at this point in the year: exams, projects, moving out, summer plans, scheduling classes and more. The last thing on anyone’s mind is what they’re going to wear while chaos breaks loose around campus. Usually what the average college student resorts to in this situation is the all too familiar sweats and T-shirt combo.

We must remember, while we are in college we are representing ourselves everywhere we go. We need to show professors and fellow students, whom could potentially become resourceful people to us later on, that we can keep it together during crunch time. Instead of realizing too late that we’ve mistakenly been wearing the same outfit all week, we could all put in an extra five minutes in the morning to look presentable.

This Fashionista got the memo; she’s definitely showing she can keep it together while keeping it simple. Although it’s been rainy lately, Nebraska is known to surprise us with hot and humid weather at the last minute. This ensemble is perfect for this kind of weather.

She stays cool with a high-neck tank top and distressed black shorts. However, it was smart of her to bring along a jacket just in case there was a surprise spring shower. She kept the color scheme pretty neutral, so she didn’t have to put too much thought into matching colors. Her combat boots are ready to take on any incidental mud patches, and her accessories pull it all together.

One Simple Change: Finals are over, and it’s time to relax! Take this look to a celebratory dinner with the girls by switching out the shorts with dark jeans, and throw on a faux leather jacket.
