ALL IN THE DETAILS: Springing For Perfection

As winter bids its last goodbye and spring greets us with freshly cut daisies and sunshine, we are being signaled to put away our favorite riding boots and coats until next year and to whip out our favorite pair of flip flops for the beach.

Although it may be sad to put away your favorite preppy sweater and your chicest trench coat, it is also a relief to enjoy the sunshine and all the breezy clothing that comes with the spring. It is a time to embrace bright chiffon cocktail dresses, sun hats and denim shorts that can be mixed with anything.

Today, I found a Fashionista who is the definition of a southern spring. In the wide expanse of blue sky and lush greenery, her outfit was perfect for a day spent outdoors.

One of my favorite pieces in her ensemble was her straw sun hat. The wide brim was flattering for her bone structure and perfect for the Floridian sunshine, while the bright, floral-printed chiffon scarf that she tied around it added a sensational vibrancy to her outfit.

This Fashionista also matched her Rainbow flip flops perfectly with her leather belt; they were each the same light shade of brown and both had elements that were uniquely designed for a warmer climate. For instance, part of her belt was made with white rope that added a bit of a nautical vibe and went perfectly with her navy blue and white striped top. In addition to these pieces, she wore distressed denim shorts that gave her outfit a subtle bit of edge and a youthful look.

How To: If you’re looking for the perfect spring break look, use this Fashionista as your inspiration. A sun hat is always a fun seasonal piece that you can wear with many looks, and you can never go wrong with classic leather accessories either. If you are thinking about going nautical, navy blue and white are always a must and can be incorporated wonderfully in a simple blouse. Feel free to mix with a casual short or a fun scarf to brighten your day!
