WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

You’re in college. These are the four most important years in terms of your future. Aka— find an internship, find another internship and maybe one more internship. Yep, we have all been there. The repetitive suit and tie as sharp as it may be, can get old (and uncomfortable) real fast. Your internship typically reflects your future career path and definitely says a little about who you are, so why wouldn’t your internship attire do the same?

Let’s be honest, as much as we hate to admit it, appearance is huge in the workforce. How you carry and represent yourself says more than a thousand words about your work and demeanor. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to carry yourself well and dress accordingly.

When dressing for an internship, it is obviously important to remain professional but at the same time you don’t want to lose your style. I found this Fashionisto on his way to Equality Illinois sporting his best internship wear while mixing his own element into his attire. A classic Vineyard Vines button-down underneath a semi-structured quilted knit blazer from Banana Republic keeps him professional, comfortable and sharp. On bottom he’s rocking chino pants that are also from Banana Republic with some stylish navy blue suede bucks. With some Ray-Bans to finish and this Fashionisto is rocking his way to success!

One Simple Change: Want to take this outfit from day to night? Ditch the blazer and throw on a nice jacket and you’re set for a night on the town!
