STYLE GURU BIO: Samantha Fritzinger

Hi to all my fellow Fashionista/a’s! My name is Samii. I just started my senior year at Penn State University and I am an advertising major with a minor in business. This is my third semester with CollegeFashionista and so far, I have been loving my experience as a Style Guru. I’m excited to see what this semester has in store for us!

When I’m not spending endless hours doing school work, you can find me doing brand ambassador work on my Instagram and working at Pacsun. I’ve been with Pacsun for 5 years now as a Sales Lead. Working there is what really opened my eyes to wanting to be a retail visual merchandiser when I get done with school.  Like most adolescents, I went through all the stages of wanting to be a teacher, and a nurse, and everything in between because I thought that there were only like 10 occupations you could have when you got out of school. Little did I know that my part time job I got when I was 16 was going to be a game changer for me. I started out on strictly doing the associate sales, and quickly moved my way into the in-store merchandising. I love being able to put together a display and falling in love with the way it lays together. Okay, enough about my job, let’s talk style.

For the most part my style is pretty bohemian/indie. On a normal daily basis, you can find me wearing a pair of super distressed denim and an over-sized T-shirt. I’m also really into thrifting; you’d be surprised at all the treasures you can find. Pretty recently though, I’ve been into making my own lace-up and distressed T-shirts.

Obviously, as the seasons change, my style changes accordingly. Even though there’s been a massive heat wave, I’ve slowly been bringing out my fall attire because it’s my favorite season. My favorite trends for this coming fall are mustard and burnt orange colors, peep toe booties and dark lip colors.

My outfit shown here is a simple outfit that I was wearing to go to lunch with my friends. I took my every day distressed girlfriend jeans and paired them with a mustard off-the-shoulder top. But the accessories and detailing are what pulls this outfit together. I added my peep toe booties (my current favorites) and a simple bolo tie to go with. Last but not least I tied my hair in a half up top knot and added a dark purple lip!
