STYLE GURU BIO: Casi Green

Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos. I’m Casi Green and I’m a Fashion Merchandising and Marketing student at Indian University of Pennsylvania. I will be a senior in the fall of this coming year and I’m ready to start pursuing my dreams in the fashion industry.

So, here’s a little bit about myself. I truly love fashion, but it’s not because a Chanel bag gets my heartbeat racing. I love fashion because you can create yourself in any way you want to be portrayed. It is an aesthetic story that anyone has the privilege to partake in. Expression is key. I have had the opportunity to experience fashion in a whole new world. Recently, I interned for Rick Owens Robert Cary-Williams in New York City, which was life changing. I was open to all the possibilities of the fast-paced industry and the city that never sleeps. My tasks were ultimately to style models, communicate with buyers and be exposed to the spring/summer 2017 collection. I have also interned at Femi boutique in Pittsburgh and helped with the e-commerce side of the business. As of right now, I am hopping around until I find the career path that I am most pleased with.

I choose to join the CollegeFashionista team to educate, learn and vibe with different styles and advice from fellow Style Gurus. I enjoy taking artsy pictures, getting dressed for the day or the night and being active on social media. I guess you could say this is why I’m here. But in all honesty, who doesn’t like talking style? I hope you enjoy the different looks I post and you leave my blog with a little inspiration in mind.

The look I was trying to achieve above was a very relaxed look. I would wear this when going shopping or just spending a day out with my girlfriends. The look is very low-key with some boho-inspired items. A jean jacket is my favorite go-to nowadays. It elevates your look, keeps you warm and you can pair it with your favorite T-shirt. I would tend to keep the T-shirt light and comfortable. As for accessories, the kate spade bangles that I’m wearing add more detail and a pop of color to the look.
